The HeatHandler is a water-to-air heat exchanger, which offers clean, efficient heat for houses, offices, factories, greenhouses, barns, shops, and garages. It can be used as a space heater or in conjunction with existing ductwork. With three sizes ranging from 90,000 to 220,000 BTU’s and a variety of installation arrangements, the HeatHandler offers options for every application. The HeatHandler maximizes comfort by constantly circulating hot water through the coil, eliminating cold blasts of air on start-up. Acoustic insulation and a whisper quiet fan guarantee smooth, quiet operation. The HeatHandler works efficiently with existing furnace or boiler systems and is compatible with either forced or in-floor heat. With options for horizontal or vertical installation and a variety of sizes, the HeatHandler is ideal for heating rooms or work areas of any size. It can be used as a space heater or connected to duct work or in-floor heat. Besides providing comfortable, efficient heat, it also circulates air throughout the work area, improving humidity and air quality. Multiple HeatHandlers can be positioned throughout barns of any size to keep air circulating at consistent temperatures. The HeatHandler is ideal for maintaining air circulation and constant heat within greenhouses. The HeatHandler hooks up easily to any boiler or heating system and can be installed easily to the greenhouse frame.
How it works
In a traditional furnace, when the thermostat calls for heat, a relay starts the furnace burner. When the heat exchanger is heated to the correct temperature, the blower turns on, providing hot air throughout the duct work or directly into the building. In the HeatHandler, the thermostat energizes a small circulator pump* which pulls hot water from the heat source through a highly efficient coil in the HeatHandler. The fan in the HeatHandler turns on when the coil has heated the air satisfactorily, moving the air across the coil and up into the duct system.
